Photo Essays TB3P2026: Students' Perspectives on Local Tourism

A creative immersion in the heart of the region

As part of their Digital & Tourism Bachelor’s program, students in the TB3P2026 class took on a challenge that was both artistic and professional: to produce a comprehensive photo essay on a local tourist attraction or venue.

The goal? To learn how to showcase a destination or a tourism professional through photography, visual storytelling, and an eye for detail.

A project combining fieldwork, storytelling, and content creation

With guidance from the teaching staff, the students were asked to select a tourism-related organization and create a photo essay consisting of:

  • 10 to 15 photos,
  • a catchy headline,
  • a clear and compelling introduction,
  • and inspiring stories.

The whole thing was meant to tell a coherent, thoughtful, and professional story, in the style of the features found in specialized magazines.

Unique Perspectives on Local Tourism

The wide variety of projects showcased the students’ creativity and their ability to highlight local places and people. Among the standout projects:

  • Behind the scenes with our master distillers: an immersive look at the daily life of a local producer, with a special focus on the craftsmanship, the ingredients, and the atmosphere.
  • A wellness experience at the Thonon-les-Bains thermal baths: a series of minimalist photos capturing the world of pampering, tranquility, and relaxation, enhanced by careful framing and masterful lighting.
  • The Secrets of Mont d’Or: From snow-covered landscapes to a warm welcome, this feature highlights a popular tourist destination through its people and local culture.
  • An invitation to escape at the Musée du Chablais: here, local history is brought to life through the interplay of light and shadow, lending objects from the past an almost theatrical aura.

Each project demonstrates a truly professional approach, in which the students successfully combined aesthetics, storytelling, and technical skills to produce content ready for release.

An important step toward careers in content creation

This project is fully in line with Crews’ approach: to train digital professionals capable of immersing themselves in a world, telling a story, and producing high-impact content for the tourism, luxury, and cultural sectors.

By exploring the area through their own eyes, the students of TB3P2026 honed their powers of observation, their visual sensitivity, and their ability to showcase a place, a brand, or a craft. It was a formative, enriching, and rewarding experience.

At Crews, real-world projects are the best way to learn. Congratulations to the TB3P2026 class for their creativity and dedication to this photography project! More projects will be featured soon.
